The founding meeting for the Saskatchewan chapter of the Canadian Association of Family Enterprise was held on Dec. 12, 1996. Our first President was Bill Edwards. Bill rounded together 10 founding members with similar goals of promoting the success of family businesses to start the chapter. Our founders met for 6 months prior to the Founding Dinner on June 3, 1997 when CAFE Saskatchewan was born.
In October 2012, Bill & Eleanor Edwards were presented with a Park Bench sponsored by CAFE Saskatoon, honouring the 2011 Saskatoon Couple of the Year. Their family, CAFE representatives and United Way representatives were present to mark the occassion.
