Established in 1986, the Family Enterprise of the Year Achievement Award (FEYA) is given annually by CAFE to recognize, celebrate and promote the achievements of Canadian family businesses and the considerable contribution they make to both their local communities and our national economy.
Each year three nominated finalists from across Canada are featured at a gala dinner during which they deliver a presentation about the history and success of their business family, followed by a presentation to the recipient. Prior recipients of this prestigious award include both larger companies such as E.D. Smith & Sons Ltd. and Rogers Communications and smaller companies such as Beau’s All Natural Brewing Company and the Saskatoon Funeral Home. To nominate a worthy business family in your area please complete the FEYA Award Nomination or contact your local Chapter. If you are a business family considering applying, please review, complete and submit the following application to your local Chapter, FEYA Award Application.
On Thursday May 22, 2014 the National FEYA Award Recipient will be honored at the CAFE Family Enterprise of the Year Award Gala. This spectacular gala celebration will be hosted in the ballroom of the Westin Bayshore. After a spectacular dining experience, CAFE members and friends will be treated to a unique, custom keynote presentation delivered by Canadian business icon, David Chilton, author of Canada's all-time best-selling book, The Wealthy Barber. David’s unique combination of financial knowledge and humour has helped to take the intimidation out of financial planning for millions of Canadians.
