About Symposium
|
The Canadian Association of Family Enterprise was established in 1983 by a prominent group of family business owners whose mission was to inspire and promote the well-being and understanding of the family in business. Over the past two decades, CAFE has evolved as a national organization touching on the lives of thousands across through its 14 active chapters.
To celebrate business families, CAFE is proud to present the National Symposium, which represents a unique opportunity for family businesses from across Canada to meet and discuss common goals. The Symposium has been held every two years since 1989. In 2010 we are proud to welcome CAFE members, both Family and Associates, to
Regina on May 26th – 28th. This invaluable opportunity to learn, network and share ideas will host approximately 300 delegates from every province.
Leaders of Family businesses from across Canada will hear from Experts with the most current trends and best practices to provide information. They will hear inspiration, with life changing keynotes like Frank O’Dea the founder of Second Cup. Finally they will be challenged and coached to innovate and succeed beyond anything achieved to date.

I have had the opportunity to attend 2 CAFE National Symposiums –
Toronto
and Halifax. Participation at these events elevates the benefits CAFE membership to a whole new level. There are opportunities to network, learn how other families have dealt with situations that develop in the family enterprise, training opportunities, world class speakers, and wonderful local entertainment and sightseeing. Sometimes the events will trigger conversations that your family has never had before and new level of understanding and focus is achieved. I look forward to meeting you in
Regina
